About Rome

Why Rome?

For the simple reason that history is at home in Rome. According to legend, in 735  a.C. Romulus founded Rome over the seven hills overlooking the River Tiber. From then on Rome has continued to be the political, spiritual, artistic and cultural capital of the region. Today it is an immense open-air museum, capable of transporting visitors back in time to discover the marvellous architectural monuments:

the Colosseum, the Fori Imperiali, St. Peter’s Square and the Vatican, the Sistine Chapel, Trevi Fountain, Piazza di Spagna, Campo dei Fiori, Piazza Navona, just to mention a few.

Rome is also a City where to live. The people, style of life, mild climate, especially in September, are some of the qualities of life that are appreciated by those visiting the city for pleasure or business.

From the times of the “Dolce Vita” the evenings continue to draw men and women into a climate of happiness and light heartedness, where the nights on Via Veneto have contaged the Trastevere and the bars of the old centre.

After a long trip travelling out to Rome for work or pleasure what better way of relaxing than to go shopping along Via Condotti or in the old part of the City. Another nice way of discovering Rome is to wander through the narrow streets in the search of handicraft shops and hundred year old "trattorie" where you can taste the specialities of Rome.
